sorry I didn't realize how long this was gonna be idk bout my life 4/6/16 We had to wake up early. If we're being honest it was a little to early for my taste, but come on, it's Disney. I had already planned what I was wearing, my newest Star Wars shirt (obviously), tan shorts, and black Converse (required). My family was ready to head to the happiness place on earth. We got to Hollywood Studios around eight, and then my mother decided the camp shirt my brother was wearing was far to ugly of a color to wear around the parks. Before we left for Florida my dad had bought some Disney shirts if we needed them, and my mom was already wearing one. The other shirt was still in the van so he ended up wearing the same Star Wars shirt my mom was sporting. So we got into Hollywood Studios, and it's so crazy crowded with people. We head straight to Tower of Terror for a 75 minute wait! Yahoo! Plus half of the ride had broken down, so it was taking even longer. To add to the fun they just stopped our line completely and was letting all the fast pass people on. Finally getting on the ride, it was tons of fun and lots of screaming. Immediately we took off for Rocking Roller Coaster, which we didn't actually have to wait that long for. So we could get on the ride faster my family did the single rider line and I was sitting next to a little Indian boy. He most likely thought I was the biggest loser ever cause I screamed my head off the whole time, and he didn't make a sound. For the last ride in the first park of the day we did the classic and iconic Star Tours that they did some updates on which made it even more fun. Finn and BB-8 were in the simulation, and the line area had some new stuff too. Right after, I begged my family to go to the Star Wars hanger, which had a lot of cool Star Wars stuff. In fact, they had and Ahsoka picture autographed for $200 and a smaller one of her and Aayla Secura for $90. Storm troopers kept walking around and saying "move along" and it was quite amusing. To get some lunch before Animal Kingdom we got roast beef sandwiches and chips that we're actually really good. Our first park was completed and it was on to our next. After about a 20 minute drive to Animal Kingdom we had arrived, and parked in the "butterfly" area of the parking lot. When I first walked in I got a very Atlanta Zoo vibe, and heard a lot of babies crying. There was literally so many people, we went strait to Everest and got on very quickly. I was actually a little scared because the mountain looked pretty high, which is weird cause I'm not even afraid of heights. It wasn't really intense, just enjoyable. Then we went into I think it was "Dino Land" or something like that, and walking to the next ride this little kid walking out of it goes "Wow, that was pretty scary." I forgot what the ride was called, but basically you are time traveling to the Dinosaur age to find this rare Dinosaur. Honestly, it was actually pretty fun and when you're waiting in line you can hear Bill Nye telling you facts about Dinosaurs, an absolute classic. After that we stood around trying to figure out if we should go on the safari ride, but decided against it. Then right there on the spot we just were like "we have time, lets go to Epcot! Why not?" We headed over there and parked in the "Creation" section of the parking lot. First when we walked in my parents required a photo, an absolute joy. We went strait to Test Track, which was fun. Then I said we should try Mission Space....my brother and dad went for the easier one and my mom and I went for the version that spins. Very very bad idea. Over a 10 minute deliberation, we switched to the easier ride. Turned out to be a really good choice because the ride was in a really really tight space, not really a fan of that whole deal. After that we stopped at the store where you try all the different cokes. Try Beverly! It's the absolute best one. The floor is also v sticky, your shoes will make noises when you walk. Finally we walked through all the lands, but kinda had to rush because we had fast passes to get too. We got some food in England, which was v noice cause we were v hangry. But at this point my feet were killing me, with every step more pain was evoked. I ate an apple on the way to Magic Kingdom, which we had the difficulty of finding the parking lot. When we finally did we were on the "villain" side of it and parked in the Scar row. But we forgot we had to take the monorail to the actual park. Ah, just the minute you walk into Magic Kingdom it just feels well, magical. There was so many people everywhere! Our first fast pass was at Space Mountain, so that's where we headed. Thankfully, I wasn't in the front row this time. After my bro and dad checked out a pin store while my mother and I rode one of my favorite rides....THE MAD TEA PARTY. Then we were all v hungry so we ate at...I think it was the cosmic cafe, or something along those lines. We had like chicken and mashed potatoes that tasted really good. Our next fast pass for for Splash Mountain, and wouldn't you know it. I was in the front row....I got v wet, v soaked, wasn't the best time. For our last fast pass, we went over to Thunder Mountain Railroad. It was fun and like the wild person I am, I rode with no hands. Sorry, that probably sounds really lame, but that's pretty good for me. So by this time the first round of Fireworks were going off, because the park is close to closing time. But!! There's magic hours! We decided to go on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train were it took a million years to wait in line, and we kept making jokes about people saying "excuse me" and cutting everyone. That literally happened like five times. I was expecting a little more thrill for waiting that long...So our last ride was an absolute must, Pirates of the Caribbean! Right when we had gotten off the ride it had started raining, but even rain is pretty in Disney and at this point where I could barely walk, I wasn't caring to much. Then we ventured to find a store that sold funnel cake, but we had no luck. So instead, we had ice cream that was really good. Our park fun was finally over and we headed out, but some worker dude told us the monorail was closed and we had to take the fairy boat. After waiting 15 minutes we got on the boat that was wholesomely FREEZING COLD and it was still raining so all the seats were wet. Finally making it back to the parking lot, gracing 1:00 AM it was sorta a blur as I was only half awake at this point. This memory is v vague and it almost reminds of a scene from a movie. I just remember my brother and dad racing each other back to the van in the dim glow of the parking lot lamp post light while the rain was gently drizzling in the beam. The last thing I remember is *still can't believe my feet were still moving* the rain water had created a thin sheet that looked like glass over the mostly empty parking lot and was reflecting everything and it just looked so cool. All I have to say is, Aust family Disney trip 2k16 was a success. The end!! Sorry this was so longgggggg. Peace out girl scout! |
